AEROVISIÓN AERIAL VEHICLES LTD.

A Technology-based Company, which designs, manufactures and sells small, low-cost Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). It was created in 2003 by AZTI-TECNALIA, INASMET-TECNALIA and ROBOTIKER-Tecnalia jointly with a private promoter.

AEROVISIÓN's main product is the FULMAR aerial platform, which was launched in June 2005 in Le Bourget (France). This UAV can travel up to 800km in 8 hours, in a continuous flight programmed using GPS navigation. It can also perform visual reconnaissance in real time over a 50km radius from the control centre, using visible light or infrared video cameras or any other kind of sensor, with payloads up to 8kg, operating at a maximum altitude of 4000m.

This aerial teledetection system is ideal for monitoring numerous activities, both at sea and on land: fire-fighting, dumping monitoring, monitoring of marine life, detecting emergencies, traffic monitoring, infrastructure inspection, environmental characterisation, etc, being a new, economical and safe method for performing aerial tasks, replacing other more expensive methods such as helicopters and light aircraft.

AEROVISIÓN's FULMAR system has been selected, along with 14 other aeroplanes from all over the world, for public air shows organised by UVS International (the largest European Unmanned Aeroplane Association) at Istres (France), in June 2006.
